AICPIN for June 2019
A much awaited press note of CPI (IW) for the month of June 2019 is released today and the index is increased two points from the existing level and stands at 316.
The calculation of additional Dearness allowance for Central Government employees and pensioners from July 2019 is almost finalized.
5% of additional Dearness allowance will be increased for all group of CG Employees and pensioners including Railways and Defence.
The total Dearness allowance shall be increased to 17% with effect from July 2019.
At present, all existing employees and pensioners are getting 12% of Dearness allowance from their basic pay and basic pension respectively.
From July 2019, the percentage of Dearness allowance and Dearness relief will be increased to 17%. However, the Cabinet Committee approval is most important in this matter.
