How to use this calculator?
First, select your Pay Matrix Level and Basic Pay in the drop-down menu available in the calculator. After submitting the details, the tool will show the Basic Pension and Dearness Relief as of date. This pension amount is before the commutation of the Pension.
A Central Government Employee retiring in accordance with the Pension Rules (Qualifying service of not less than 10 years) is entitled to a pension @ 50% of his last pay drawn or 50% of average emoluments for the last 10 months, whichever is more beneficial.
The minimum Pension is Rs. 9000 and On the death of a Central Government pensioner, the family is entitled to a family pension the amount of which is 50% of the last pay for a period of 7 years.
The amount of the family pension is 30% of the last pay drawn.

. Sir, my father was posted in 5 FOD Bengdubi, Siliguri Distt. Darjeeling, West Bengal. He retired in 31/8/2005, after two months of retirement he passed away in 5/10/2005. After his passing we moved to Kanpur from Siliguri.

I have transferred my mother’s pension account in SBI DMSRDE Kanpur. We were getting pension according to 6th pay commission, but the problem started when 7th pay commission came in effect from 1st January 2016. I believed that our family pension will be automatically revised as soon as the order will come in effect, but it has been not done. I have written several letters to 5 FOD but did not got any reply from there. Sir if you could please guide me in this matter, I will be highly obliged

It depends upon your service condition in level 7 or as per the 9th CPC and share market amounts in NPS as on retirement age.
My uncle who server in the Army (sig) now who is died and his wife is not getting any kind of family pension due to her husband discharge from from service after completion of 9yrs 9mth and 12 days .At this stage can she get her family pension . If her husband got pension upto his death, she is eligible family pension in life time. Contact his husband’s ex-employer/Headquarters.
