Subject:- Applicability of Dearness Relief to the pensioner/Family Pensioner
It has come to notice that the dearness relief is being paid on the pension to the pensioners who are not entitled to dearness relief on their pension. In this regard attention is invited to the Para 19.4 of the Scheme for Payment of Pension to Central Government Civil Pensioners by Authorized Banks (copy enclosed) wherein it is stated that the dearness relief on the pension is not payable to pensioners mentioned below:-
1) President/Vice-President
2) Ex-MP Lok Sabha
3) Ex-MP Rajya Sabha
CPPCs of the banks are requested to ensure that the dearness relief on the pension should not be paid to the pensioners mentioned above.
This issues with the approval of Chief Controller (Pension).

The revised PPO issued by PCDAPENSION ALLAHABAD contains lot of errors like date of birth , address of PENSIONERS, PAN NO even after 3 stage verification ie initiatiating office,Audit office,and finally PCDAPENSION ALLAHABAD. Every AUTHORITIES acted as a post office. No body bothered to verify the proposed PPO WITH THE DOCUMENTS sub.minted. HOW THE AUTHORITIES CAN TOLERATE SUCH LETHARGY ON THE OFFICIALS ..Now it would take a year or so to issue CORRIGENDUM PPO besides the possibility of further correction. It is better to give a copy of draft PPO to the pensioners for scrutiny of errors if any as PENSIONERS are the right pensions to find out errors immediately .
