Government employees are entitled to election holidays in view of general elections, by-elections, state MLA elections, and local body elections. Central government employees and teachers are gearing up for the upcoming General Lok Sabha election in 2024. The following timetable outlines the parliamentary election schedule for all states and union territories, including polling dates. Please organize your personal commitments accordingly.

A major portion of election duty is being fulfilled by Government employees while performing any elections in India. The state and central government employees are participating on the day of poll and day of counting. The concerned Department of Head of Section is deciding the suitable staff for the post of polling officer, returning officer and sub staff for election duty as per the requirement of ECI.
