The Union Cabinet Committee is expected to grant approval for a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) starting from July 1st, 2023, applicable to Central Government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners. The revised DA rate is anticipated to be disbursed alongside the September pay slip. Additionally, the arrears for July and August 2023 may also be provided in September 2023. However, the Finance Ministry will issue the necessary directives to facilitate the payment for eligible employees and officers.

The table also highlights the difference between these two rates. Additionally, it should be noted that as of 1.7.2023, an additional 4% of D.A. has been implemented for all categories of Central Government employees and officers.
