Department of Employment and TrainingDE (DET) TN ITI Admission 2024: Enrollment has now opened for vocational training institutes (ITI) in Tamil Nadu for the year 2024. The state boasts 102 Government Vocational Training Centers and 305 Private Vocational Training Centers managed by the Employment and Training Department. The online recruitment process for coaches for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025 has been successfully completed, concluding on June 28, 2024.
For individuals who have completed 8th or 10th grade, direct admissions are available to facilitate students. The enrollment period for these vocational training centers will run from July 1, 2024, to July 15, 2024. Students who are interested can personally visit the centers with their certificates to choose their desired profession and begin their vocational training.
Over the years, many apprentices who have undergone training at vocational institutes in Tamil Nadu have found employment in various well-known industrial companies. The Government Vocational Training Institutes offer apprenticeships in modern industries, including those that align with Industry 4.0 standards crucial for today’s industrial environment. TN ITI Admission 2024: How to apply online?
Applying for admission to vocational training institutes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2024 involves a thorough understanding of the instructional video and manual provided. It is essential to have all original certificates ready for submission at the training center during admission to avoid disqualification.
Accuracy in the information uploaded is crucial, as any inconsistencies may lead to rejection by the authorities at any stage of the application process. When completing the form, ensure you have the necessary documents at hand, including your name, email address, phone number, date of birth (indicating age 14 by 01.08.2024), and details of your community/caste (ST/SCA/SC/MBC/DNT/BCM/BC).
It is imperative to provide a valid and unique email address and phone number that have not been previously used on the website, as they will be used for future communication and cannot be changed. Additionally, an Aadhaar number is a mandatory requirement for the application process.

TN ITI Admission 2024: Required Documents
Please provide the necessary details to make the online application fee payment (debit card/credit card/Gpay/net banking). In the year 2021, only parents of 10th-grade students need to register the marks obtained in the 9th grade. Ensure that the certificates listed below are scanned and saved in JPEG format, with a file size ranging from 50 kb to 100 kb:
- Mark sheet of 8th/10th grade
- Transfer certificate
- Community/caste certificate
- Priority reservation certificate
- Migration certificate (for individuals from other states).
Additionally, prepare passport-sized photos and signatures in JPG format, ensuring that the photo is between 50 kb to 100 kb and the signature is between 10 kb to 20 kb in size. The EMIS number can be found on the student’s transfer certificate or school ID card.
