SSC CGL Exam 2024: Selection Process

The selection process for the SSC CGL Exam 2024 involves a complex Computer Based Examination that includes Tier-I, Tier-II, and the Final Selection Process.

Tier-I Examination requires completion within one hour and covers 100 questions divided into four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. The maximum score achievable in Tier-I is 200.

Moving to Tier II, this stage comprises three papers: Papers I, II, and III. Tier II mainly consists of Objective Type multiple-choice questions, with bilingual options in English and Hindi available for most sections except the English Language And Comprehension module.

Regarding negative marking in Tier-II, Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III in Paper-I incur a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. Conversely, Paper II and Paper III penalize 0.50 marks for every incorrect response.

It is crucial to highlight that all candidates must successfully complete Paper-I, irrespective of their position. Additionally, candidates are required to attempt all three sections of Paper I.

The performance of candidates in Sections I and II of Paper I determines their eligibility for evaluation in Section III. Failure to meet the qualifying criteria in Sections I and II will lead to exclusion from Section III and subsequent stages of the SSC CGL tier-II examination.
