Eligibility Conditions for RRB Technician Recruitment 2025
Candidates’ eligibility for positions is provisional and based on the information submitted in their online applications. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will not conduct a comprehensive review of applications for eligibility; therefore, candidates must ensure they meet the essential criteria outlined. It is crucial for candidates to verify their compliance with requirements related to educational qualifications, age, and medical standards.
If discrepancies arise during the verification of certificates or documents concerning educational qualifications, age, caste, or category, and if claims made in the application lack supporting documentation, the candidate’s application will be annulled. Furthermore, any discovery of false or misleading information provided by the candidate, or failure to meet eligibility criteria at any stage of the recruitment process, will result in immediate rejection of their candidature.

Academic Eligibility for RRB Technician Grade-I & III 2025
- Please consult Annexure A for the specified qualifications necessary for each position.
- Applicants are required to hold the necessary Educational/Technical qualifications from an accredited Institute/University as of the final date for online application submission (i.e., 28.07.2025).
- Individuals awaiting the results of their final examination for the required qualification SHOULD NOT submit an application.
- A Diploma/Degree in Engineering will NOT be accepted as a substitute for:
- Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) or
- ITI qualification for Technician roles in Pay Level-2, unless stated otherwise.
- A Graduate Act Apprenticeship is not recognized in place of CCAA.
- The Educational/Technical Qualification certificates (either Provisional or Regular) must indicate the date of issuance.
- If the issuance date is subsequent to the closing date (28.07.2025), then:
- Please provide a consolidated mark sheet that displays the date of declaration of the final qualifying examination, or
- Individual mark sheets for all semesters/years that show the date of declaration for each.
- If no date is indicated on any certificate, a document from the Board/University confirming the date of result declaration must be presented during Document Verification (DV).

Age Relaxation Rules for RRB Technician Grade-I & III Posts 2025
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories are eligible for a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit, while OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are granted a relaxation of 3 years. Ex-servicemen who have rendered at least six months of continuous service after attestation are also eligible for age relaxation: 3 years for UR & EWS, 6 years for OBC (NCL), and 8 years for SC & ST candidates, after deducting the length of military service from their actual age. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are entitled to a relaxation of 10 years for UR & EWS, 13 years for OBC (NCL), and 15 years for SC & ST.
Railway employees from Group C and erstwhile Group D services, including eligible substitutes with a minimum of three years of regular service, are allowed upper age relaxation up to 40 years (UR & EWS), 43 years (OBC NCL), and 45 years (SC & ST). Candidates working in Quasi-Administrative offices such as Railway Canteens or Co-operative Societies may receive age relaxation equal to their service duration or 5 years, whichever is lower. Additionally, female candidates who are widowed, divorced, or judicially separated and have not remarried are eligible for relaxation up to 35 years for UR & EWS, 38 years for OBC (NCL), and 40 years for SC & ST.

RRB Recruitment 2025: How to Edit Submitted Application Details
Upon the completion of the Online application and the successful submission of the requisite fee, candidates who wish to modify any information (with the exception of the details provided in the ‘Create an Account’ form and the selected RRB) may do so by paying a non-refundable modification fee of ₹250 for each alteration.
The information entered in the ‘Create an Account’ form and the ‘Chosen RRB’ is unchangeable under any circumstances.

- Requests for modifications will not be accepted after 10-08-2025.

RRB Recruitment 2025: Examination Fee Details for Technician Posts
- Fee for the General Category (others) is Rs. 500/- (Rs. 400/- will be refunded upon appearing in the CBT, excluding bank charges).
- Fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Female/Transgender/Minorities/EBC* is Rs. 250/- (Rs. 250/- will be refunded upon appearing in the CBT, excluding bank charges).
- Important Note 1: EBC should not be confused with OBC or EWS.
- Important Note 2: A separate fee must be paid for each Pay Level.
- Important Note 3: Refunds are applicable only if the candidate appears in the CBT.
How to Submit RRB Technician Application Form 2025

Establishing an Account with RRBs
- Candidates must initially create an account for this CEN by utilizing the link available on the official RRB websites.
- As outlined in Para 16.0 below, candidates who have previously established an account for earlier RRB CENs should utilize the same login credentials to apply for this CEN, also using the link provided on the official RRB websites.
- A valid personal mobile number and an active email ID are essential for receiving the OTPs necessary during the account creation process.
- No modifications will be permitted to the information entered in the “Create an Account” form afterward, including the mobile number and email ID.
- Consequently, candidates are strongly encouraged to input all information with care and precision, as no corrections or alterations will be allowed post account creation.
Identity Authentication Advisory
- Candidates are strongly urged, in their own best interest, to verify their identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during the “Create an Account” procedure.
- This will ensure a more efficient and expedited verification process at various stages of recruitment.

General Guidelines for submission of Online applications

| f) | Select Only One RRB per Pay Level: Only one RRB can be selected per Pay Level. Submitting multiple applications to different RRBs for the same Pay Level will lead to rejection. |
