    Dear Sri Raghavaiah garu,

All the pensioners who retired prior to 2016 are pinning hopes on the NFIR for effectively pleading with pension secretary, who is primarily against accepting the Option I of parity recommendation of CPC. I may bring to your notice that the benefit under this scheme mainly accrues to those pensioners retired under 3rd and 4th CPC regimes. Because their pay scales were very low at that time and so also their pensions. Even after some rise given under subsequent CPCs their pensioners are so low that they are not able to meet the rising cost of living. In addition, all these persons are very old and are above 80 years and their further expectancy of life is anybody’s guess. Hence at least on compassionate grounds the Option I is to be conceded. Since their numbers are not much and also dwindling day by day the financial burden to Govt will not be much. In view of the above kindly impress upon the Committee members to concede our point.
    Thanking you,

    Yours comradely,

    C.Satyanarayana.
