National Pension System (NPS) for Central Government Employees
Pension is a big wealth for Government Employees in India. Pension or Family Pension comes up to the end of their life!
Central Government Employees are getting a salary up to their age of 60 and then they will get pension up to their life, after then, their spouse will get a family pension up to her/his life!
50 years of pension practice has been changed since 2004. Central Government employees who have joined Central Government Services on or after 1.1.2004, will get pension under National Pension System after retirement.

What is National Pension System?
The National Pension System is a pension system newly introduced for Government employees in India with effect from 1.1.2004. Initially, the scheme was called the ‘New Pension Scheme’. Then the scheme name was changed to the ‘National Pension System’. Pension is a big security in old age, particularly after retirement from Government services. The government of India is being taken various steps to regulate the scheme. Govt of India has established a structural department of Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) to regulate the scheme for Central Government Employees.
