What is the current DA Rate for Govt Employees?

The current Dearness Allowance (DA) rate for Central Government employees is 17%.

The calculation of the total salary of Central Government employees is based on the classification of posts (Group A, Group B, and Group C) and also based on place of work (Office location).

Calculation of monthly gross pay for Central Government employees of pay matrix level 2 (GP 1900) and the basic pay Rs. 28400. The below calculation table indicates the salary package of the employees working in various cities in India.

The Indian cities are classified into three segments for the purpose of House Rent Allowance. And the cities and towns are classified into two categories for the purpose of Transport allowance. Other Places or Other Cities: All cities and towns other than TPTA Cities (including Faridabad, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad & Noida).
