One of the greatest night celebrations in the Hindu community on Shivaratri to worship the God of Shiva. The day denotes as the wedding day of Lord Shiva. In all Shiva temples in India, the day is celebrated with great excitement. The Night Prayer is also called as ‘Shivratri’.
In the year 2020, the Mahashivratri falls in the month of February 2020. In 2021, the festival falls on 11th March 2021.
According to the Central Government holiday list, the festival of Mahashivratri is added in the list of Restricted Holidays.
