Latest List of Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Empanelled Hospitals

The ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) is a healthcare scheme designed to cater to the medical needs of retired armed forces personnel and their family members. While not as extensive as the CGHS, ESMs can avail healthcare facilities for specific high-cost surgeries or treatments for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance (AGI MBS) and AFTIS MIS schemes. The military has established new ECHS polyclinics, which are categorized into five types, namely Type A, Type B, Type C (two types), and Type E. ECHS members can benefit from a lifetime contribution ranging from Rs 30,000 to Rs 12,0000, depending on their GP or Matrix Level. In case of treatment under emergency in a non-empanelled facility, there is provision for reimbursement at CGHS rates. Furthermore, there is no monetary ceiling on treatment. The scheme covers the spouse and all eligible dependents.
