KVS Class 1 Admission Age Limit Table 2023-24

Updated criteria for entry into a KV school for the upcoming academic year. In response to the new guidelines, the minimum entry age for Class 1 has been raised to 6 years as of March 31, 2022. As a result, parents are unable to register their children for the 2022-23 session in the KVS admission portal. This change has caused confusion amongst parents, who feel that the previous age limit should be retained for admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya. But the Central Government strongly said that the revision of age criteria has been decided as per the recommendations of the New Education Policy.

What is the least age to be accepted into a KV school?

The least age to be authorized into class 1 of a KV school is 6 years, with the student’s age as of 31st March 2023 for the current academic year 2023-24. For pupils applying to other classes, there is no upper limit as long as there has been no break in their learning period. For those in the disabled category, the maximum age may be changed.
