The All-India CPI-IW for September, 2023 decreased by 1.7 points and stood at 137.5 (one hundred thirty seven point five). On 1-month percentage change, it decreased by 1.22 per cent with respect to previous month compared to increase of 0.84 per cent recorded between corresponding months a year ago.

What is AICPIN for Sep-2023

How to Calculate DA with AICPIN

First convert the AICPIN data from Base Year 2016 to Base Year 2001. And get the total of 12 previous AICPIN months and calculate the average. Minus the value with 261.42 and divided with again 261.42. And then again multiplied with 261.42. The answer is approximate percentage of DA for Sep-2023!

CPI for Agricultural Increased 2 Points in Sep 2023

In September 2023, there was a 2-point increase in the All-India Consumer Price Index Number for Agricultural Labourers (Base: 1986-87=100), resulting in a new value of 1226 points. Additionally, the index number for Rural Labourers experienced a 3-point increase, reaching a total of 1237 points. The rise was mainly due to an increase in food prices. The index varied from state to state, with Tamil Nadu having the highest index and Himachal Pradesh having the lowest. Uttar Pradesh experienced the highest increase in index numbers, while Andhra Pradesh experienced the highest decrease. The point-to-point rate of inflation and food inflation decreased compared to the previous year.
