What is the In-Hand Salary of 7th Pay Matrix Level 1 Employee in 2025: The Pay Matrix Table for Central Government Employees in India is an important table for determining basic salary for central government employees. The pay matrix table was introduced by the 7th Central Pay Commission. This table has been in force since 2006. The Pay Matrix table is not just a table of numbers! Behind of the each cell value in this table is the salary account of lakhs of employees!

What is Pay Level?

Pay level is a system used by the Central Government of India to determine the designation or grade of its employees. It is based on the employee’s existing post with grade, and other factors. The pay level is divided into 19 different levels, ranging from Level 1 to Level 18 (including 13A). Each level has a different salary range, and the higher the level, the higher the salary. For example, Level 1 employees earn a minimum of Rs. 18,000 initial basic pay, while Level 18 employees can earn up to Rs. 2,50,000 per month.

What are all advantages of Pay Matrix Table?

The Pay Matrix Table has several advantages for Central Government Employees in India. Firstly, it provides a clear and concise system for determining salaries and benefits for government employees. This makes it easier for employers to understand and manage their payrolls. Secondly, it ensures that all employees are finding their next basic salary after annual increment within a second! This table gives a fair Pay fixation calculation also easier than old pay calculation system!

Pay Level-1 Salary 2025

Figuring out the first month’s salary of a central government worker can be a bit of a hassle, depending on the city their office is in! All you need are three main elements in order to calculate their monthly wage: the percentage of Dearness Allowance, the house rent allowance percentage, and the rate of transport allowance. We’ve crunched the numbers into four separate categories based on those factors!

The central government has divided the cities and towns in India into three categories such as Class X, Class Y, and Class Z, and the house rent has been determined accordingly. Similarly, cities in India have been divided into two categories to calculate the transport allowance. We have provided four types of salary structures based on the above categories.
