TN Patta Chitta Online | Tamil Nadu Land Records: eservices.tn.gov.in: Accessing TN Patta Chitta Online | Tamil Nadu Land Records: eservices.tn.gov.in: Many property owners possess all requisite land-related documents, including the sale deed, MMDA or Local Municipality land approvals, along with building permits, ensuring their properties meet legal standards. However, they often find themselves lacking one vital document—the patta chitta.

This missing document poses a significant issue, as the TN Patta Chitta is a key government-issued certificate that confirms land ownership. Thankfully, the government has made strides in simplifying the retrieval of the patta chitta, enabling landowners to obtain it through user-friendly online services. To assist landowners in navigating this process effortlessly, our website admissionportal.in provides extensive resources and detailed step-by-step guidance.

Types of Land Patta Document

Various types of pattas exist, each serving distinct functions and being issued under specific conditions. A notable example is the Natham Patta, typically awarded to individuals lacking a home in their revenue village. Another variant, the AD Condition Patta, is managed by the Adithravidar Nalan Dasildar, who oversees land distribution for landless tribals and Adithravidars. This patta is endorsed by the governor and includes a photograph of the recipient.

Furthermore, there is the Land Handover Patta, which the government provides to certain groups, including ex-servicemen and those from economically disadvantaged communities. In contrast, the TSLR Patta relates to the Town Survey Land Record documentation. Additional types of pattas include UDR (Updating Data Registry) Patta, Manual Patta, 2C Patta, and Joint Patta, each governed by its own unique set of rules and criteria for issuance.

What is Land Patta?

Patta is an essential legal instrument provided by the government to confirm land or property ownership, encompassing all necessary information for the registration process. Often referred to as Records of Rights, this document serves as a definitive record that does not need to be renewed regularly. It is managed by the Tahsildar, under the jurisdiction of the Tamil Nadu government. Patta contains detailed data, including land size, subdivisions, survey numbers, the owner’s name, Patta number, district, Taluk, village, land area, tax information for the owner, specifics on dryland and wetland, area measurements, and more. When a property changes hands, it is required to submit the new owner’s information to facilitate the creation of updated documents in line with land registration regulations.

What is Land Chitta?

A Chitta is an essential document for land revenue, diligently maintained by both the Village Administrative Officer (VAO) and the Taluk office. This document serves as a detailed record of key information regarding land ownership, area, dimensions, and other relevant details. Significantly, the Chitta distinguishes between Nanjai (Wet Land) and Punjai (Dry Land), which is crucial for agricultural and developmental planning. It’s important to note that since 2015, the Tamil Nadu government has simplified this process by merging the TN Patta Chitta Online into a single document, effectively bringing all vital information together under the Patta for easier access and management.

Patta Chitta Online: How to Apply

The Tamil Nadu government has recently updated the application process for TN Patta Chitta, simplifying it into a more efficient and user-friendly system after merging Patta and Chitta. Here’s a straightforward guide to help you navigate the online application:

Start by heading over to the official TN Patta Chitta Online portal, which is accessible in both English and Tamil to cater to all users.

Once you’re on the site, look for the section titled ‘View Patta & FMB / Chitta / TSLR Extract’ found under the ‘View Patta Copy/A-Register Extract’ tab.

Next, select the appropriate ‘Taluk’ and ‘Village’ from the provided list, and decide if you want to search using ‘Patta Number’ or ‘Survey Number’ in the ‘View Patta/Chitta using’ section. Enter the required information as prompted and click ‘Submit’ to proceed.

Once you’ve submitted your property details, an online certificate will be generated from the Town Survey Land Register. This certificate will include comprehensive information such as the type of construction, municipal door number, locality specifics, land classification, and survey number for your records and validation.
