Pensioner’s Option – 1 Mercilessly Rejected – Confederation

January 12, 2017 admin 6 Comments

MOST UNKINDEST CUT OF ALL

PENSIONER’S OPTION – 1 MERCILESSLY REJECTED

It is learnt that the Committee chaired by Secretary (Pension) has NOT recommended the Option Number – 1 recommended by 7th Central Pay Commission for fixation of pension of pre -2016 Pensioners. Instead it has recommended extension of the benefit of pension determination recommended by 5th CPC ie ;

arriving at notional pay in 7th CPC by applying formula for pay revision for serving employees in each Pay Commission revision and consequent pension fixation. Now the Implementation Cell of 7th CPC is studying the recommendations of Pension Committee for processing for submission for approval of Cabinet.

Thus , the one and the only favourable recommendation of 7th CPC ie; the real parity in Pension which is also approved by Cabinet with a rider “subject to feasibility” is going to be mercilessly rejected by Government , inspite of repeated requests and demands from NJCA, Confederation and Pensioners Associations .

    Perhaps, the present secretary pension is not an optimistic person who is least interested to help the retired pensioners by shirking his responsibility in finding ways and means to get the pensioners records..In fact, all the Pensioners who are having PPO on hand is itself a record where in the pay scale of the Pensioner on the date of retirement for fixing basic pension. So, where there is will, there is a way.. Let the Pensioner himself produce the relevant records to prove him claim for option -1 with an affidavit or obtain the records through RTI and produce for claiming option-1

    It is failure on the parts of committe not to accept the option 1, whereas Govt. has already accepted the option 1 of pensioners..Under what grounds,no records of no. of increments earned at the time of drawing scale of pensioners is not available with the Govt. is not acceptable by the pensioners…Every PPO letter scale of pay and pension so fixed have already been recorded with the concern P&A O ,concerned,.even every pensioners knows that how many increments was earned by the pensioners at the time of retirement…But unfortunately why this benefit is not given to the pensioners,mainly effected prior to 2006….More so the Govt. has not fixed the pension minimum of the scale of VIth pay commission viz a viz To the Matrix stage half of the. minimum pension of 7cpc…..only to left by 2.57 formulae and less pension from 6th pay commission……..Or the committee wants to clear the parity of old pension of pensioners,as recommended, a new middle formulae for example .0.50 percent. Of the basic pension could also solve the purpose ie 2.57+0.50……Govt. is humbly approached to settle the issue in positive way, so as to right way to implementation of 7 cpc recommendation for old pensioners and this will be the justice to the old pensioners….With regards.

    He may have been compensated adequately by the central government. So he is not interested about the other people’s interest except himself i. e. only his own interest. I want to thank him for the selfish attitude of his and pray to God that he or his loved ones gets the same treatment from some body selfish like him and then he shall realize the plight of the old and poor pensioners or family pensioners those who are struggling to meet the requirements of living after giving their golden years to the government service. I think that they are getting this prize for their service to the government

    By rejection of option one for fixation of Pensions of Pre2016 Pensioners, it appears Secretary Pension is more Powerful that the Pay Commission chaired by Retd Justice of the Supreme Court. First this Secy was adducing the plea of non availability of old records which was simply a lame exevuse and it failed the reasoning. Then he added the wording “feasibility” for his arguement to fight against the agreed Report by the Cabinet. . It looks strange and now Political Masters to decide between Pay comm. recommendation of Option one and the new suggestion this one man Secy Pension who feels himsself superpower by rejecting Pay Comm recommendations which were already accepted by the Cabinet it is learnt.
