M.K.KUMAR replied on 2nd April 2020: This is to inform all that in the month of APRIL usually pension credited on 2nd April only due to financial year starts the funds should be allocated on 2nd April every year. 1st April is Bank holiday & this year 2nd April Bank Holiday due to SRI RAMANAVAMI, so pension will be credited on 3rd APRIL 2020.

You may recall, the pension of March is every year credited around the 2nd of April, because of financial year accounting practices. However this year 2nd Apr being closed Holiday because of Ram Navami may be pension gets credited on 3rd April. There is no cause to be worried.

EPFO asks field offices to credit pension by March 30

CPFC Directs to Ensure Credit of Pension to EPS Pensioners by 30th March

EPFO makes payment of pension to 65 lakh pensioners every month under the Employees pension Scheme, 1995.

Central Provident Fund Commissioner (CPFC) had directed to process pension payments in all 135 offices of EPFO in advance so that no inconvenience is caused to pensioners on account of nationwide lockdown for containing COVID-19 outbreak.

EPFO officers and staff worked with dedication under most difficult circumstances but completed the processing of pension payments in all 135 offices and provided pensioner wise pension payment details for 65 lakh pensioners along with requisite cheques to all pension disbursing banks. Link nodal branches of all pension disbursing banks throughout India have been directed to ensure credit of pension in the accounts of pensioners by 30th March 2020. Thus timely credit of pension at this hour of need has been ensured by all 135 field offices. EPFO is committed to serving its pensioners at all times.

  2. Is central govt.is deducting 50% of the amount from the total amt.of pension of central govt. employees for the month of March ,2020

  3. Aj 1st April hai, lekin pension avi tak nehi ghusa. Aur ap log news de rahe ho 31 tarikh ko ghus gaya?
    Lockout ke karan 25th tak agar pension mil jata to thik thaa, avi to mahina vi khatam ho gaya.

  5. All post offices r closed in u.t.chandigarh jurisdiction. There is no use if pension has been credited on account
