A new Kendriya Vidyalaya school has started its operations in Gandhidham, Gujarat, under the Project Sector. From the academic year 2023-24, this school will welcome students from class 1 to class 5 at Deendayal Port Authority, located in the Kutch district (Parliamentary Constituency- Kutch).

The Kendriya Vidayalaya Sangathan has approved the establishment of this school, with a single section in each class, and the possibility for growth based on feasibility. The Deendayal Port Authority is the sponsoring authority, responsible for providing a permanent Vidyalaya building, staff quarters for all Kendriya Vidyalaya staff, and covering all recurring and non-recurring expenditure, including administrative overhead charges and future development expenditure.

New Admission for Class 1 to 5
The admission process will follow the KVS’s prescribed rules for KVs under Project Sector, and a schedule for the academic year 2023-24 admission will be notified soon. Should the sponsor fail to meet their commitment, the Commissioner, KVS, will reduce the number of classes/sections.
