Calculation of monthly gross pay for Central Government employees of pay matrix level 5 (GP 2800) and the basic pay Rs. 45400. The below calculation table indicates the salary package of the employees working in various cities in India.
The Indian cities are classified into three segments for the purpose of House Rent Allowance. And the cities and towns are classified into two categories for the purpose of Transport allowance. Classified ‘Z’ Cities (8% HRA): Which are not covered by classification as X or Y cities or towns, which are all classified as Z class.
Other Places or Other Cities: All cities and towns other than TPTA Cities (including Faridabad, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad & Noida).
