More than 13 lakh Kendriya Vidyalaya students are paying their school fees online on a quarterly basis. 1248 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools (Central School) located in various states across India including abroad. The fee collection is initiated by the Union Bank of India (UBI) through online or offline mode. The tuition and other fee structure had revised in 2013 and it still continues for the academic year 2020-2021 also.

Needless to say that the lowest fee structure in India is from class 1 to class 12 in KV Schools. And also exemption provisions are on fees for particular categories of children.

KVS Fees Online Payment 2021-22

KV Fee Online Payment Bank: The Union Bank of India (UBI) is the authorised bank for paying all types of fees for Kendriya Vidyalaya students. The Andhra bank and Corporation bank has recently merged with UBI bank and the IFSC code and account number also changed.

UBI Fee Login and Payment 2021-22: There are two ways to pay the fee online. One way is to go through the official KVS link and another way is through the bank website.

KV Fee for Girl Student

All girl students are from Class 1 to Class 12 are exempted from Tuition Fees. However, they have to pay computer fund and VVN (Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi) contribution.

KV Fee for SC/ST Students

All students (Girls and Boys) belongs to SC/ST are provided exempt from Tuition Fees. However, they will pay the computer fee and VVN Nidhi.

KV Fee for Children of KVS Employees

All children from class 1 to class 12 are exempted to pay their tuition fees if their parents are working in Kendiray Vidyalaya Sangathan. However, they have to pay their computer fees and VVN Nidhi contribution.

KV Fee for Single Girl Child

All single girl students from classes 6 to 12 are exempted from all fees, such as tuition fees, computer funds, and VVN contribution.

KV Fee for Children of Army & Paramilitary Personnel

The children of Armed Forces Personnel are exempted to pay their tuition fee and VVN Nidhi. They have to pay for computer funds only.

Children of officers and men of armed forces and Paramilitary personnel killed or disabled during the hostilities 1962; 1965; 1971 and 1999 and as well as to the children of Defence Personnel of Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) in Srilanka and personnel of armed forces killed or disabled in “Operation Meghdoot” in Siachen area and “Operation Vijay” in Kargil.

KV Fee for Children of Diseased Army & Paramilitary Personnel

The children of devised Armed Forces Personnel are exempted to pay all types of fees.

Concession of exemption from payment of tuition fee, (VVN and Computer fund) is also extended to the children of Armed Forces and Para Military Forces personnel whose parents were killed/declared missing or permanently disabled during any counter-insurgency operation in India or abroad. Provided the children produce the certificate granted by the concerned Ministry.

KV Fee for Poverty Children

Children of parents, who are living below the poverty line, up to two children, and having BPL cards are exempted from tuition fees and VVN Nidhi.

KV Fee for Disabled Children

All disabled children are exempted from tuition fees and VVN Nidhi as per the instructions issued by KVS on 15.10.2009.

Notes from KVS

1. Exemption of various types of fees mentioned above will not be allowed henceforth to the children of Govt. employees (including Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan employees) as they are getting reimbursement from their departments.

2. Kendriya Vidyalayas under the project sector is authorized to implement their own differential fee structure vide KVS Letter No. 6-1/91-KVS (Budget) dt.11.11.1999.

3. In addition, provisions incorporated in Article 123-124 of the Education Code for Kendriya Vidyalayas regarding fee exemption will be extended hitherto in force.

Short description on Fee Exemption in KVS

1. All girls students are exempted from tuition fees.
2. The single girl children are all exempted from all fees from class 6.
3. Scheduled Caste and Tribe students are exempted from tuition fees.
4. KVS children are exempted from tuition Fees.
5. BPL students are exempted from VVN & Tuition Fee (computer fee has to be collected).
6. Under RTI admitted children exempted from all fees.
