Karnataka Govt DA Rate Chart 2025: Dearness Allowance is provided for Karnataka Government employees and pensioners to compensate for the price hike of essential commodities. All State Governments in India are following the same methodology as the Central Government in declaring Dearness Allowance to their employees! About the Chart

This chart visualizes the Dearness Allowance (DA) trends for Karnataka government employees and pensioners under the 2018 Revised Pay Scales. Each vertical bar represents the Total DA for a specific period, divided into two segments:

  • Additional DA (Blue): New DA increase announced in the current period

The chart covers the period from January 2018 to July 2024, showing how DA has evolved since the implementation of the revised pay scales.

Key Observations

  • DA started at 9.22% in January 2018 under the revised pay scales
  • Steady increases with 2-4% additions each period until 2020

Calculation Method

DA = (Average AICPI-IW for 12 months – 261.42) × 100 / 261.42

The DA is revised twice a year – in January and July – based on the average AICPI-IW of the preceding six months.
