Revised Dearness Relief Arrears Calculator: Increased to 46% for Central Government Pensioners and Family Pensioners

If you require assistance in calculating your arrear amount following the revision of Dearness Relief from 42% to 46%, please continue reading.

The Union Government has recently raised the Dearness Relief for Central Government pensioners and family pensioners from 42% to 46% of their basic pension. This revision, effective from July 1st, 2023, has brought immense joy to all Central Government pensioners who are eagerly anticipating the increased amount in Dearness Relief and the arrears for the months of July, August, and September 2023.

To facilitate this process, we have developed a user-friendly online tool that calculates the Dearness Relief with the enhanced percentage and provides comprehensive information on arrears for each individual. By entering the necessary details into the provided toolbox, pensioners can easily determine their arrears for a three-month period. The tool includes data on both the previous and revised Dearness Relief rates, as well as the corresponding arrears.

Using the DR Arrears Calculator is simple. Start by selecting your pay level and basic pension from the dropdown menu. Prior to that, indicate whether you are a current or retired employee. Once these details are entered, click the Calculate button.

The tool will promptly generate a response containing the following information:

1. “Check Your Inputs Details” – Please review this section to ensure that all details have been accurately entered.
2. Payment details of Dearness Relief that have already been disbursed to you for the previous three months.
3. The calculator’s conclusion will provide you with the arrears for a three-month period of Dearness Relief, reflecting the conversion to 46% of your basic pension, including the arrears.

Additionally, the revised Dearness Relief for October 2023 will be displayed.
