Introduction of Child Care Leave in respect of Railway

The Indian Railways has taken a significant step towards supporting working parents by introducing Child Care Leave, which allows employees to take time off from work to take care of their children. In a recent revision, the limit of 22 years has been removed in case of a disabled child for the purpose of Child Care Leave. This progressive move aims to provide flexibility and support to parents who need to take care of their children’s well-being, whether it be for medical reasons or otherwise. It recognizes the importance of family and work-life balance, enabling parents to fulfill their responsibilities without compromising on their career.
