Sub: List of closed holidays/restricted holidays for the year 2021 for the Central Government Offices – reg.

The list of closed holidays and restricted holidays for the year 2021 for the Central Government Offices in the State of Tamil Nadu as decided in the executive committee meeting held on 27.11.2020 in terms of Department of Personnel & Training, New Delhi in F.No. 12/9/2020-JCA-2 dated 10.06.2020 are forwarded herewith for information and necessary action.

It was decided that as per Para 5.2 of the aforesaid OM of DOPT “If the dates of any of the four holidays namely Idu’l Fitr, Idu’l Zuha, Muharram and Id-e- Milad are changed by the State Government, it will be deemed date for the holiday suo moto for all the Central Government Offices in Tamil Nadu also without having to separately declare it as a holiday.

Further, it was decided by the Committee to declare 20.08.2021 (Friday) as Holiday on account of Muharram as declared by the Tamil Nadu Government in accordance with the authorization delegated to the Committee as per Para 5.2 of the OM dated 10.06.2020 issued by the DoPT.

Subject: Formation of Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) for Cultural activities & Indore Games and Secretarial Assistance – Clarification – regarding.

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to invite attention towards this Department letter of even number dated 1103.2018 regarding discontinuation of Grant-in-aid to Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) for culture activities & Indore Games and Secretarial Assistance and to say that the matter regarding seeking approval for formation of the CGEWCC, received from various Central Government offices has been examined in this Department.

2. In this connection, it is informed that the Grant-in-aid to CGEWCC has already been discontinued and it has now been decided that henceforth this Department has no role, whatsoever, in the affairs of CGEWCC and its formation.

3. This has the approval of Hon’ble MOS (PP).
