Ambedkar Birthday Holiday Declared on 14.1.2024 for Central Government Offices

Ambedkar Birthday Holiday Declared on 14.1.2024 DoPT Order: In recognition of the significant contributions and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a visionary leader and architect of the Indian Constitution, it has been decided to declare Sunday, the 14th of April 2024, a national holiday. This holiday will be observed by all Central Government Offices, as well as Industrial Establishments across the vast expanse of India, to honor and celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar.

Subject: Declaration of Holiday on 14th April, 2024 – Birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

It has been decided to declare Sunday, the 14th April 2024, a holiday on account of the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, for all Central Government Offices including Industrial Establishments throughout India.

2. All Ministries/Departments of Government of India may bring the above decision to the notice of all concerned.
