AICPIN Points for January 2024
The Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2016:100) for January 2024 has been compiled by the Labour Bureau, an office under the Ministry of Labour & Employment. This index is based on retail prices collected from 317 markets across 88 industrially significant centers in India. Released on the last working day of the following month, the index covers 88 centers nationwide. The latest data indicates that the All-India CPI-IW for January 2024 has increased by 0.1 point to reach 138.9. This represents a 0.07% increase from the previous month and contrasts with a 0.38% increase observed during the same period last year.
