Gujarat Govt declares 8% DA Hike for its Employees and Pensioners

On May 23, 2023, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced an 8% Dearness Allowance (DA) increase for state government employees and teachers. This hike will be divided into two parts: a 4% increase effective from July 1, 2022, and another 4% increase from January 1, 2023. The DA arrears for this increase will be disbursed in three installments, with the first installment to be released in June and the second and third installments to be released in October of 2023.
