Proposed Bank Union strike deferred on 7th January

As per media news, bank employees unions have deferred their one day strike, proposed on 7th January 2015. The UFBU, a joint organisation of public sector band employees and officers unions, negotiations will continue with IBA on wage revision and other important issues.

Indian Banks Association (IBA) improved the offer to 12.5 percent from 11 percent. We will continue to negotiate for further improvement in the wage revision with IBA, General Secretary C.H.Venkatachalam said.
