PKL 2023 10th Season Brief History

PKL is quite popular in India and gives tough competition to the other cricket leagues. It was first launched in 2014 with eight teams, and currently, the 9th season has just ended. PKL was inspired by the popularity of Kabaddi tournaments in the 2006 Asian Games. December 2022 is expected to be reserved for the pro Kabaddi league, which takes place yearly. Currently, there are 12 teams, and each of these teams represents a certain state and competes against other states. Pawan Kumar Sherawat was the highest bid when he was bought for INR 2.26 crore by Tamil Thalaivas.

Pro Kabaddi League Team List

The starting date of the latest season of the PKL was the 7th of October. You could either watch a match in the stadium if it’s happening in your city, or you can subscribe to Hotstar+to live stream all the matches. What is the Venue of PKL Season 9?

The Pro Kabaddi League is an annual event, and therefore it is held in different locations across India. This year it will be held in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the last season was only held in Bangalore in a bio-bubble.

Pro Kabaddi League 2023

The 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League PKL 2023 will commence on the 7th of October, 2023. You will see your favourite Kabaddi stars in action on Disney Plus Hotstar and the Star sports network. Even though the teams, schedule and venue have not been decided as of yet, it is expected that all 12 teams will be playing. It is also expected that a couple of new venues will be added in 2023, and you might be lucky enough to witness a match in a stadium near you. The inaugural match of PKL season 9 was held on the 7th of October 2022 at 7:30 p.m. between Dabang Delhi K.C. and U Mumba, where the former won the game. The last match of the season, match number 132, was held on the 9th of December 2022 at 9:30 between Patna Pirates and Bengal warriors, where Patna had an easy win over Bengal.

PKL Season 10 Eliminator 1

The first eliminator was held on the 13th of December 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at Dome NSCI SVP stadium in Mumbai. The match was between Bengaluru Bulls and Dabang Delhi K.C., where Bengaluru Bulls were victorious.

The second eliminator was held on the 13th of December at 7:30 p.m. at Dome NSCI SVP stadium in Mumbai. Here, the Tamil Thalaivas had an easy win over UP Yoddhas.

PKL Season 10 Semi-final 1

On the 15th of December 2022, the first semi-final occurred at 7:30 p.m. at Dome NSCI SVP stadium in Mumbai. The match was between Jaipur Pink Panthers and Bengaluru Bulls, where Jaipur Pink Panthers won.

PKL Season 10 Semi-final 2

The second semi-final was held on the 15th of December at 8:30 p.m. In this match, Puneri Paltan gave a tough fight and won the match against Tamil Thalaivas.

PKL Season 10 Final

The final match of PKL season 9 was hosted at Dome NSCI SVP stadium in Mumbai on the 17th of December 2022 at 8:30 p.m. The two finalists were Jaipur Pink Panthers and Puneri Paltan. The match was quite interesting, and it had a nail-biting finish where Jaipur Pink Panthers won the league title.
