The Defence Ministry issued orders regarding payment of Dearness allowance to Armed Forces Officers and Personnel Below Officer Rank including NCs(E) at the rate of 17% with effect from 1st July 2019.

After the implementation of 7th pay commission, Defence Officers and PBORs are receiving various allowances at higher rates. However, Dearness allowance is the most awaited allowance, because DA is increasing twice in a year.

As per the order, the Dearness Allowance is increased from the existing rate of 12% to 17% to all Defence Officers and PBORs including Non-Combatants (Enrolled) Personnel.
