Railways to run 196 Holi Special Trains To Avoid Rush in Holiday for Passengers!

Indian Railways has announced 196 special services for the Holi holiday, which will facilitate 491 trips for passengers. The authorities are focusing on managing the crowds at major stations to ensure smooth and comfortable travel. There are plans to run special trains that will connect significant destinations across the country via railway routes.

During the current Holi celebrations, Indian Railways has arranged 196 special trains for the convenience of rail travelers and to manage the additional passenger demand. These special trains will connect major destinations across the country such as Delhi, Patna, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, Gorakhpur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Puri, Guwahati, Ranchi, Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur and Bandra Terminus, Pune and Danapur. In total, there will be 491 trips.

In order to ensure orderly entry of passengers into unreserved coaches, RPF staff are supervising the formation of queues at terminus stations. The security of passengers is being further ensured through the deployment of additional RPF personnel at major stations. To address any disruptions to train service, staff are also being deployed in various sections, and officers are on Emergency Duty at major stations to ensure smooth operation of trains. Moreover, measures have been implemented to make frequent and timely announcements of train arrivals/departures, including platform numbers.
