How to Apply for EWS Certificate Online

The Scheduled Tribes and the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, too received the benefits of reservation on a preferential basis in civil posts and services in the Government of India and admission in Educational institutions Government of India has notified to provide 10 % reservations to EWSs in Central Government post and services and for admission in an educational institution.

Form-XII – Income Assets EWS – Certificate to be Produced by Economically Weaker Sections

An applicant does not own or possess any of the following assets:

• 5 acres of Agriculture land and above
• Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above
• Residential plots of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities
• Residential plots of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities.

Note-1: Income covered all sources i.e. salary, agriculture, business, profession, etc.

Note-2: The term “Family” for this purpose includes the person who seeks the benefit of reservation, his/her parents and siblings below the age of 18 years as also his/ her spouse and children below the age of 18 years.

Note-3: The property held by a “Family” in different locations or different places/ cities has been clubbed while applying the land or property holding test to determine EWS status.
