Subject: Educational Concession removed for the Children of Armed Forces Officers / PBORs, Missing/Disabled/Killed in Action – regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the Ministry of Defence’s OM No.6(1)2009/Edn. Concession/D(Res.II) dated 11th January, 2018 and 13th February, 2018 on the subject mentioned above. The matter has been exa mined in this Department and the following is agreed to:

(a) Educational Concession will continue without the cap of Rs.10000/- per month.

(b) The Educational Concession will be admissible only for undertaking studies in a Government/Government aided schools/Educational Institutes, Military/Sainik Schools and other Schools or Colleges recognized by the Central or State Government including the autonomous organizations financed entirely by the Central / State Governments.

2. This issues with the approval of Hon’ble Finace Minister.
