The data of this month’s CPI-IW indicates a 4% growth, resulting in a 42% increase in DA/DR for Central Government Employees and Pensioners as per the Seventh Central Pay Commission. If the AICPIN index for the month of December 2022 will go up more than 7 points or more than 5 points decreasing from the existing level only could change the prediction of ‘Expected DA from Jan 2023’! Otherwise, the 42% Dearness Allowance (DA) from January 2023 is almost confirmed!
