Eastern Railway Holiday Homes for Non-Gazetted Employees – Complete Booking Guidelines, Eligibility, Charges and Facilities

Eastern Railway has introduced a welfare initiative through the Central Staff Benefit Fund (CSBF) by providing affordable holiday home accommodation facilities for non-gazetted employees and their families at major tourist and medical destinations across India.

These holiday homes are available at Mumbai, Vellore, Varanasi, New Delhi, Puri, Bolpur/Shantiniketan, and New Digha for vacations, medical visits, and official tours.

Purpose of the Scheme:
To provide safe, comfortable, and economical accommodation facilities for Eastern Railway non-gazetted employees and their eligible family members.

Eligibility Criteria

Only non-gazetted employees of Eastern Railway are eligible.
Bookings can be made for employees and their immediate family members.
Eligible family members include spouse, children, and dependents.

Booking Procedure

1. Submission of Application

Applications must be submitted up to 60 days before the intended stay date.
Applications should be submitted through the respective Division, Headquarters, or Workshop Welfare Section.
The concerned office forwards the request to the Headquarters Welfare Section for approval.
Online booking and payment facilities are under development.

2. Room Allotment

Rooms are allotted on a first come, first served basis.
Only one room per employee can be booked at a time.
Confirmation letters are issued at least 5 days before occupancy.

3. Payment Procedure

Room charges must be deposited at the nearest Railway Cash Office.
Allocation Head: SBF 00812104
The original cash receipt must be submitted to the Welfare Section.
Final allotment letters are issued only after payment verification.

Cancellation and Refund Rules

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
The request should reach the Welfare Section at least 3 working days in advance.
No refund will be provided after cancellation.

General Terms and Conditions

The holiday homes are meant for short-term stays only.
Extension may be granted only in exceptional cases subject to room availability.
Occupants must maintain cleanliness and proper discipline.
Any misuse or damage to property may lead to penalties and future disqualification.
Subletting or unauthorized transfer of booking is strictly prohibited.
Valid identity proof must be produced during check-in.

Permissible Purpose of Stay

Family vacation and recreational trips.
Medical visits for employees or dependents.
Official railway duty or training purposes (only at New Delhi Holiday Home).
