As per the press release for December 2019, the All India Consumer Price Index Number (AICPIN) for the month of January 2020 will be released on 28 February 2020.

The CPI (IW) Base Year 2001=100 is a key factor to calculate Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for the employees working in Central Government Services and retired pensioners.
The first installment of DA and DR due from January 2020 to all existing and retired employees is almost confirmed to hike by 4%. This hike will be declared by the Union Cabinet Committee in the middle of March 2020.
And now, another Dearness Allowance (DA) calculation is started!

The first AICPIN data for the month of January 2020 is expected to release tomorrow and the calculation of Expected DA from July 2020 is also will start from tomorrow onwards!
