Since your MACP was on 12.2.17 have you given option for old pay or new revised pay ? For all the calculation is multiply by 2.57 only (in the case of entry pay it was 2.67) If you have given old pay it was given from 12.2.17 with GP 7600, otherwise MACP from 12.2.17 or from the increment month from 7/17, if you are given new pay from 12.2.17 you are not eligible increment on 7/17, your next increment on 7/18 in Matrix level 12 at your equivalent pay or higher in that stage.

No change in basis pay only your designation changes higher from May, 2020. You’re pay will change in next MACP.

Answer to Gurpreet 22/8 – It is pay/Pension as per the 7th CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION w.e.f 1/1/2016 revised pay/Pension for central government services. Instead of pay scales/grade pay now it’s called as MATRIX LEVELS in that stage.

I was retired on 29 Feb. 2008, at that time my basic was 26740/= in the scale of 15600–39100 with Grade Pay 6600/=, subsequently my pension was fixed on 13370/=, I got two increments in this scale on July 2006 and 2007. Initially my pension was calculated 13370*2.57 = 34560.90,later there were two options for the calculation of pension, kindly tell me what will be my pension as per option II, where increments are being taken for consideration of calculating the pension. I think I am getting some less pension.

There is anomaly in pension of persons retiring before 2006 from scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500 and new scale of 8000-275-13500 (entry for A group) who as per 6th pay commission were placed in PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800, GP-5400 and PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 respectively.
Now as per latest formula in circulation for fixation of pension taking last pay drawn into account if persons in both the above scales of 8000-275-13500 retired on last pay drawn as Rs. 11025. Then person in PB-2 9300-34800 GP-5400 will get pension of Rs. 33600 and person in higer PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 GP-5400 will get less pension of Rs. 33500. I.e. Rs. 100 less. This anomaly can only be removed if the formula lpd×1.86+5400=?×2.67 is applied and then pension is fixed as per pay matrix rather then multiplying with 2.56.

I could not understand how Pay Matrix tablecalculater has been arrived at?When 6th CPC was implimented I was drawing Rs 11,300/- as basic pay in the Pay Scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500 i.e the 13th stage in the respective pay scale. On 01.04.2006 my pay was fixed as Rs. 21,040/ +5400/- There after I earned three more increments i.e. on 01.07.2006, 01.07.2007 and on 01.07.2008 and finally retired on superannuation on 31.12.2008 with basic pay as Rs. 23490+ 5400=28890/- i.e at the 16th stage of the respective pay scale. Hence according to Pay Matrix it should be Rs. 87,400/- But unfortunatly when I put these datas to the calculator, it reflected that it would be the 11th stage with pay Rs. 75400/-. Please rectify the same.
