6 Day Work Week Schedule in Tamil Nadu from 18th May 2020

Tamil Nadu Government Offices will function with 50 percent Employees including Saturdays

The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced through a Government order that all government offices will function with 50 percent government employees six days a week from May 18.

The order said, roaster of three batches will work of two days each and the six days working week system will implement from May 18.

Six-Day working week including Saturdays as working days, with present office timings.

1st Batch: Monday & Tuesday
2nd Batch: Wednesday & Thursday
3rd Batch: Friday & Saturday

In the subsequent week, 2nd batch shall work for 2 days at a stretch (Monday & Tuesday) and the first batch shall work for the next 2 days (Wednesday & Thursday) followed by the 2nd batch for the next 2 days (Friday & Saturday).

Notwithstanding the above alternate working system, the staff on off-duty shall also attend office if called for at any point of time.

All Group ‘A’ Officers i.e., all staff in posts drawing level of pay from (levels 25 to 32 in Rs.59,300 – to – the pay matrix) and all Head of Offices (irrespective of level in the pay matrix) shall attend office on all working days.
