RRB Group D Recruitment (NTPC) 2024: Selection Process

The 2024 RRB Group D selection process is quite demanding, highlighting the necessity of physical fitness for the various roles within the Railways. Candidates are encouraged to focus on maintaining their health and physical condition to face the upcoming challenges effectively. This selection journey comprises three key phases: the Computer-Based Test (CBT-1), the Physical Efficiency Test, and the Medical/Document Verification. To achieve a spot in the Group D workforce, candidates must successfully complete all these phases.

During this evaluation period, candidates will undergo multiple assessments, including the Computer-Based Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST), Document Verification, and a Medical Examination. Those who have received CCAAs training within railway establishments will have their NCVT scores acknowledged, impacting their placement on the final merit list. Moreover, these candidates will be exempt from the Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test. It is advisable for aspirants to keep an eye out for the upcoming RRB Group D Exam Dates, which will be released alongside the official announcement.

RRB Group D Recruitment (NTPC) 2024: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

In 2024, the Railway Recruitment Board will carry out the Group D examination, adhering to a meticulously designed format aimed at thoroughly assessing candidates. The examination consists of a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by Document Verification and a Medical Examination. Central to the evaluation, the CBT includes various sections that test knowledge in General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, as well as General Awareness and Current Affairs. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete this portion.

For each correct response, candidates receive one mark; however, there’s a penalty for wrong answers, resulting in a deduction of one-third of a mark. To cater to a wide range of participants, the CBT is accessible in 15 languages, in addition to English and Hindi. Those who perform successfully in the CBT will then be invited to take part in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by Document Verification and the Medical Examination.

It’s crucial to understand that the Railway Administration retains the authority to administer the CBT in either a single or multi-stage format as deemed appropriate. Candidates advancing past the CBT must complete the PET before moving on to Document Verification and the Medical Examination. For detailed insights into the CBT structure, candidates can refer to the information provided below for their study and preparation.
