1. Different levels of pay scales are available depending on the post and experience level in Asam government job postings.

2. The basic requirement for all government jobs is class 12 or intermediate qualification from a recognized board or university.

3. Pay scale for MTS, UDC, Group C, and other Officers range between ₹ 5200 to 39100 per month plus grade pay receiveable depending upon the occupation category assigned by Assam Government’s authorized recruitment boards.

4. Other allowances including House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Special Compensatory Allowance, Fuel Conveyance, etc., are also offered as a part of the salary package of any particular government job in Asam State Level Departments & Organizations associated with it.

5. Employees working in certain categories even receive an annual increment after completion of one year of service in Government Jobs which add up to their existing payscale .government employees

7th Pay & Productivity Pay Commission: The 7th Assam Pay and Productivity Pay Commission has made some major recommendations to enhance the career prospect of State Government employees. Classification of Services and Gradation of Posts: The new classification of services shall be as follows :

• Group A Grade Pay of Rs. 12700 and above
• Group B Grade Pay of Rs. 9100 to Rs. 11500
• Group C Grade Pay of Rs. 5000 to Rs. 8700
• Group D Grade Pay up to Rs. 4400

The new gradation of posts for the purposes of Travelling Allowance/ Daily Allowance and other allowances shall be as follows:-

• Sr. Gr. Grade Pay from Rs. 16900 and above
• Gr. I Grade Pay from Rs. 12700 to Rs. 16300
• Gr. II Grade Pay from Rs. 9100 to Rs. 11500
• Gr. III Grade Pay from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 8700
• Gr. IV Grade Pay up to Rs. 4400
