My father retired as Naik in the Indian Army back in 1993. He had collected his pension for around 5 years but later as he moved to other country for work, and that made him stop collecting his pension (as it was barely any money, and the whole trip to India would cost him more than his pension, so he stopped collecting it) but now with this fortunate Orop policy, we would like to know how do we go about this and receive the arriers and continue his pension henceforth and yes my father has come back to India for good. He struggled to support us (family) so he had move away to aboard and work endlessly to educate all of my brothers and myself and bring us to a better position and now that he has come back I feel it’s his right to receive the fruits for serving 21 years for our country in the army. Could you please show us a way to carry out the procedure. We are in right now at Secunderabad, and his last posting was with the MCEME, Secunderabad.
    Thank you

I served in IAF for 20 years 6 days and retired as JWO in 1st Gr. on 30.11.2002. As per OROP provisions, my basic should have been fixed at 10480/- but it has been fixed at 9055/- by Bhopal CPPC. It is wrong.

I have been receiving 1st group JWO’s pension but I have got an arrear of Rs.3578/- and my pension has been fixed at 9055/- . CPPC’s carelessness is causing great financial loss to the veterans but express gain to the government.

The arrears calculated in this table is on the difference which is not correct method. The PDA will calculate 6 month periodwise total of existing pension and revised pension wef 01.07.2014 to 31.01.2016 or till the date of calculation and will deduct the total of existing pension from the total of revised pension which may a variation of Rs. upto 5 (less or more)from the above tables. The old age pension and disability element entitled to some of the pensioners cannot/could not include in such a calculation. So the calculation mentioned in this table is not seems 100% correct.

There are different statements/comments on OROP, made by both politicians and public at large. This more confusing and if our agrevences are not attended now, what is the fun to have them, when a stage comes late in life journey to its fag end. If veteren’s fate is finalised alongwith the 7thpay commission, we would be more agail. Once again thank you Sirs for having taken pains to reach us through this media. As many seniors have been unhappy, the Govt may be requested to have a close look at the finalising the Table. i shall be in touch with you Sirs. OROP Table which has been prepared based on the length of service for Junior Commissioned Officers and Non Commissioned Officers is an eye wash and
this will not benefit even the 5% populations of retirees who retired as Subedar Major, Subedar, Naib Subedar, Havildar and Naik. Hence entire table
required to be scrutinised by expert persons to avoid frustration among these ranks. Thanks. Regards Ex Hony Sub Maj PS Verma

The MOD is not understand the problems of JCO’s/OR in the Army and same rank in Navy or Air Force because they left the Jobs between the age of 35 to 50 Years. Officers will leave the Jobs after 54 Years and further reemploy in same department at the age of 58 years. If the Govt should reemploy the our JCO;s/OR at the age of 58 years they should have not any demand of OROP>. Please re-think about this genuine demand and research this situation by IIM (Students) that the conditions of JCOs/OR of your country who serve for national in his young age.

Officers than grant rank pay respectively secondly length of service up to38 or 39 has to be considered other wise just after 28 years of service all will get same pension decision is unjustified it is unjust

    Sir,
    1. Being a Vetran I would like to inform Senior most serving officers and Ex Servicemen Organisations why the pensions of PBORs have been fixed very less in OROP scheme because prior to 2006 the pensions of JCOs/OR were used to be fixed 50 per cent of maximum pay scale whereas in 6th CPC this formula was changed and brought by our Bureaucrats to 50 per cent of last pay drawn at the time of retirement. Therefore the pensioners (JCOs & OR) of 2013-14 are still getting pension equal to pre 2006 pensioners which is injustice for all the JCOs/OR. I mean to say that this issue must be addressed to high officials of Ministry of Defence so that the present formula be changed and JCOs/OR must be given 50% pension of their last pay scale and not pay drawn at the time of retirement. Then only the status with regard to pension of JCOs/OR will be improved and then they will get better pension.

    2. I have also perused the chart of OROP which was published in IBN on 9th Feb 2016 which indicate that even the proposed pension by RM will hardly benefit JCOs/OR until and unless the present formula is restored to pre 2006.

    3. It would not out of place to mention that the proposal given by our Service HQs as well as Ex servicemen organisations that the pension of JCOs/OR to be increased from 50% to 75% which has already been turned down in 7th CPC recommendations which need to be addressed by our service HQs to improve the pension of JCOs/ORs.

    4. I would also like to mention here that 90 per cent JCOs/OR belong to Y Group category in Army and the major strength of JCOs/OR who retired after completion of their term of engagement have hardly got Rs 50/- to 1000/- in OROP Scheme declared by the Govt on 03 Feb 2016.

    5. In view of above, it is my humble request to all the high officials who read this and put their effort to change the present formula of the Government then only the status of JCOs/OR will be improved.
