Central Government Issued Order to Implement Actual Retirement Benefits for Central Government Pensioners and Employees and Pensioners who retired between the freezing period of January 2020 to June 2021!
Arrears on Gratuity & EL Encashment
Gratuity and Leave encahsment are one-time retirement benefits admissible to employees on retirement and employees who retired during the period from 1st January 2020 to 30th June 2021 have been allowed lesser amount than what would have been calculable as per the Finance Ministry O.M. No.1/1/2020-E.11(B) dated 23.04.2020
The matter has been considered sympathetically by the Central Government and issued orders today that Central Government employees who retired on or after 1st January 2020 and up to 30th June 2021, the amount of DA to be taken into account for calculation of gratuity and cash payment in lieu of leave will be deemed to be as under:
Notional Percentage of DA
January 2020 to June 2020: 21% of Basic Salary
July 2020 to December 2020: 21% of Basic Salary
January 2021 to June 2021: 21% of Basic Salary
Additional Installment in Freezing Period
January 2020: 4%
July 2020: 3%
January 2021: 4%

If an employee retired in the month of January 2020, he had been paid the Gratuity amount with the calculation of 17% Dearness Allowance. Now, he will get the amount of 4% Dearness Allowance additionally calculated on Gratuity as arrears.

If an employee retired in the month of January 2020, he had been paid the Leave Encashment amount with the calculation of 17% Dearness Allowance. Now, he will get the amount of 4% Dearness Allowance additionally calculated on Leave Encashment as arrears.
