Dearness Allowance for KVS Teachers and Staff
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, a well-known educational body, has recently announced an exciting update regarding salary enhancements for its teaching and non-teaching personnel. Starting from January 1, 2024, all staff members within the KVS framework will see a substantial rise in their earnings, with a 50% Dearness Allowance granted across the board, irrespective of job titles.
This added financial support will be calculated based on half of each employee’s Basic pay, ensuring equitable compensation for everyone involved in the KVS. Additionally, to help ease any financial burdens, the Dearness Allowance for the first two months—January and February—will be disbursed as arrears, while the allowance for March will be incorporated into the next salary payment.
KV Teachers First Month Salary: Updated May 2024
A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) working at a Kendriya Vidyalaya in urban centers can expect to earn around Rs. 91,080 as their gross monthly pay before any deductions. However, there will be two deductions applied initially: NPS and CGEGIS.
