The Ministry of Personnel, Public and Pensions have issued a notification on granting paid holiday for Government employees on 8th February 2020.
As per the order, the general election to the Legislative Assembly of NCT of Delhi will be held on 8th Feb 2020 (Saturday). All Central Government Offices including industrial establishments shall remain closed on the day of poll.

NOTICE
Election Commission of India vide its letter dated 09.01.2020 has informed that General Election to Legislative Assembly of NCT Delhi shall be held on 08.02.2020 (Saturday).

Subsequently, Election Officer vide letter No. CEO / COE / 102(32) /DLA-20/2020/7503-7507 dated 11.01.2020 addressed to Commissioner (Labour) has informed regarding grant of paid holiday on 08.02.2020 (Saturday) i.e. on the day of polling in Delhi to the electors of Delhi Legislative Assembly,
who are working in different establishments, factories, other business establishments in NCT of Delhi.
Accordingly, all such employers of Industrial Establishments / Factories / Shops and Commercial Establishments in NCT of Delhi shall grant one day paid holiday to their employees who are electors of Delhi Legislative Assembly to enable them to cast their vote on the day of polling i.e. 08.02.2020 (Saturday) in case 08.02.2020 (Saturday) is a working day for them/electors.
This issues with the approval of Secretary cum-Commissioner(Labour).
