Date of Effect of 7th Central Pay Commission

Date of Effect of 7th Central Pay Commission

Date of Effect : The various associations of the JCM-Staff Side have demanded that the recommendations of this Commission should be implemented w.e.f. 01.01.2014. Their argument is that there has been substantial erosion in the value of wages owing to non-merger of DA, which has crossed the 100 percent mark in January 2014. They have also demanded wage revision after every five years, instead of the present decennial exercise.

However, it is to be noted that this Commission was constituted in year 2014, well before the completion of ten years since the implementation of the VI CPC recommendations, which were made effective on 01.01.2006. As a result, its recommendations would be available for consideration before the ten year period gets over on 01.01.2016. The Commission does not agree with the demand of early implementation of revised pay structure and recommends that the date of effect should be 01.01.2016.

It is very difficult for a Government servant who is getting even the salary of Pay Group-2 and Pay Group-3 to purchase a suitable accommodation for his family at Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai etc. during his entire service period besides his family expenses for his kith and kin. I do agree with Mr. Mani who has devoted his complete 32 years serving the Govt. and still homeless at Hyderabad. The situation of all the Government servants head quartered at Jaipur remains almost the same. It is not clear how much increase in salary will approve the Govt. for their employees with effect from 1st January, 2016 and shut the doors for further 10 or 15 years.

Om prakash and Deepak, are you working in Central Government posts, if no, then how can your comment on the salary hikes of the government staff.

Please try to join any government job and survive in the salary without requiring any hike.

You do not have any knowledge of the ground realities of the Government staff.

I don’t agree with Mr. om Prakash and Mr. deepak, what they knows about the Central Government Employees and Pensioners not to get the pay hike except the DA hike. I am retired from Central Government after serving 32 years of service and I don’t have a own house in Hyderabad. Compare to State Government Central Government salaries are very very less and they cannot able to meet any kind of additional expenditures during the month of expenditures because of cost effects. As expected by the JCM once in five years pay commission has to be given to Central employees and too many variations in the pay structure should not be there, Group A to Group C employees salary should not have much difference on their pay because everybody lives in the same cost of living.

I do not agree with Deepak & Om Prakash . This will be valid if there is no inflation (no price rise like USA). so employees effort in form of promotion and increment will be effective. They do not want D.A.. DA is making their life more miserable. My children are working out of country and they are very much happy because of no inflation so no D.A. and relay they are enjoying their promotion and yearly salary hike. Do not get angry with Govt.. employees get angry with their Kamchori (Not for all employees.)
    Thanks.

Yes, I agree with Mr. Om Prakash comment. No meaning of pay commission when the employees are getting pay hike as per inflation, hence in further Govt. should not exercise for pay commission.

Pay revision is not needed as they are getting DA for price increase. For efficient people they are getting promotions. They are getting annual increment. Pl think for unemployed persons
