AICPIN for August 2024 PDF: The Labour Bureau is set to unveil the All India Consumer Price Index Number (AICPIN) for August 2024 on September 30, 2024.

Consumer Price Index Data for Agricultural and Rural Workers – August 2024

In August 2024, the All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) and Rural Labourers (CPI-RL), with a base year of 1986-87 set at 100, saw an uptick of 7 points each, bringing the indices to 1297 and 1309, respectively.
When looking at year-on-year inflation rates for this month, CPI-AL recorded 5.96%, while CPI-RL stood at 6.08%. This is a decrease compared to the previous year’s figures of 7.37% for CPI-AL and 7.12% for CPI-RL in August 2023. Additionally, the inflation rates for July 2024 were slightly higher at 6.17% for CPI-AL and 6.20% for CPI-RL.
