This latest AICPIN data is one of the most significant indicators used to calculate the upcoming Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for Central Government employees, officers, and pensioners under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
According to the official press release, the All-India CPI-IW for May 2026 increased by 0.9 points, rising from 149.9 in April 2026 to 150.8 in May 2026.
