How is Pay Fixed Under WB ROPA?

The initial revised pay is calculated using the following method:

  1. Add existing Basic Pay and Grade Pay.
  2. Multiply the amount by the fitment factor of 2.57.
  3. Round off to the nearest rupee.
  4. Locate the corresponding amount in the appropriate Pay Level.
  5. If the exact figure is not available, the next higher cell in that level becomes the revised Basic Pay.

Annual Increment in the Pay Matrix

After fixation of pay, employees receive annual increments by moving to the next higher cell vertically within the same Pay Level.

When an employee is promoted or upgraded to the next higher Level:

  • One increment is first granted in the existing Level.
